About Bourbon Barrel-Infused Coffee

Mountain Table’s Bourbon Infused Coffee is a distinctly West Virginian collaboration between specialty coffee, craft bourbon, and the place we call home.

Mountain Table is an organic coffee roaster based in Renick, West Virginia. We built our company around the idea that food and drink can tell the story of a place, and this coffee may tell that story better than anything else we make.

We start with Certified Organic, Fair Trade coffee and infuse it with bourbon from The Bullock Distillery, another West Virginia producer. Bullock’s award-winning Karst Water Select Straight Bourbon is made using limestone-filtered spring water from Bullock Spring in Greenbrier County, just down the road from our home and roastery. We then roast the infused coffee in Renick, bringing together the traditions of specialty coffee roasting and Appalachian whiskey-making in one product.

The process creates a rich, aromatic coffee with notes reminiscent of oak, vanilla, caramel, and bourbon while still allowing the character of the coffee itself to shine.

Sustainability is also an important part of how Mountain Table operates. Our coffee is packaged using compostable materials, allowing us to create a premium West Virginia-made product while reducing the amount of conventional packaging waste associated with coffee.

What makes this coffee special is not simply its flavor. It connects West Virginia agriculture, water, craft manufacturing, small businesses, sustainability, and community in a single bag.

For us, Bourbon Infused Coffee represents what Mountain Table is all about: taking something familiar, connecting it to the people and landscape around us, and creating something that could only have come from West Virginia.
